Location Cards - Address and Text

Location Cards are used to display details on content pertaining to places. These can be specific address (Address cards) or general state/county/region (Text cards). They have many optional fields, allowing authors to share as much or as little information as is needed.

 

Location Card Address- results may display in a Map component, rather than the standard Search Results. Reference the Map user guide for more info.

How to add Location Cards to a Search Hub

1. The Author can open the Content Fragments from the assets view or on the main navigation via Content Fragments.

2. Navigate to the Agency specific folder where the content fragment should be created.

3. Click create Content Fragment

a. Select the fragment model (for this example, either Location Card Address or Location Card Text).

b. Click Next and add the title of the Content Fragment. This title is only used within AEM and must be unique. Once added, click create.

4. Author the fields that need to display on the search result card. Not all of the fields are required, but Location Card - Address requires an address. Required fields are bolded.

a. Location Type – Required. This is a tag and is used to identify the Search Hub. 

b. Category

i. This is the field for all filter tags such as Agency and Topics. All tags should be added here. 

ii. Date tags, if not using a full date, are added here. Ex: Date year, Date month.

c. Title – Required display title

d. Subtitle

e. Contact Name 1

f. Contact Label 1

g. Contact Name 2

h. Contact Label 2

i. Short Description

j. Address lines 1,2,3 – Address line 1 is required for Location Card - Address

k. City - Text field – Required for Location Card - Address

l. County - Tag field 

m. State - Tag field – Required for Location Card - Address

n. Zip - Text field

o. Latitude, Longitude - Required for Maps search display. Will generate automatically after Content Fragment is published. (Maps user guide coming soon)

p. Phone Number 1 – Format phone numbers as 555-867-5309

q. Phone Number 2 

r. TTY Phone Number

s. Fax

t. Email

u. Link Label 1 – Display label required if a URL is provided.

v. Internal URL 1, External URL 1

i. Can only use one, not both, for the first link display.

w. Link Label 2

x. Internal URL 2, External URL 2

i. Can only use one, not both, for the second link display.

y. Document Download 1: Link Label

dd. Date - Used for fully qualified dates.  Use the calendar icon to select date and time.

ee. Image - Add link to image in Assets. Image will display at 220 px on the card.

5. Publish the Content Fragment.

6. The Content Fragment will display in the Search Hub in approximately an hour.

Other tips

  • Location Card- Address Content Fragments need a latitude/longitude authored in order to appear in a Map. It may be added in two ways:
    • Leave the lat/long fields blank, and publish the CF. Refresh, and lat/long will appear dynamically.
    • Author the lat/long fields manually.
  • Preview Location Cards in the Stage environment. In Stage, author the Content Fragment, publish, and check that it displays correctly in the Stage page's Search Hub.
  • Not all fields are required in the Content Fragment.
  • Contact Sapient if the following is needed:
    • New tags.
    • New Search Hub.
